MYO = Muscles
FASCIA = The body's main connective tissue
RELEASE = To let go
This is the tough connective tissue that holds us together, its appearance is similar to a spiders web. Fascia is one continuous structure that exists from head to toe without interruption, enveloping every structure of the body.
In its normal, healthy state fascia is well lubricated and able to move without restrictions . When we experience physical or emotional trauma, scarring, inflammation, repetitive strain or poor posture, the fascia loses its pliability.
The fascia becomes tight, restricted and a source of tension in the whole body. Fascial restrictions can exert pressure causing pain, headaches and restricted movement.
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the fascial system to eliminate pain and restore movement.
Myofascial Release loosens tight muscles and tissues, increases flexibility, improves structural balance and alignment and releases adhesions.
I have studied in Advanced Myofascial techniques with The Jing Institute as well as with Noah Karrasch and my techniques are a fusion of direct and indirect methods.

"How does Jackie achieve such good results? I believe that her ability to create a strong bond of trust with her clients enables her to succeed where other therapists fail. She listens to what you have to say, and uses her thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with a sensitivity of touch, and keen ability to locate the sources of pain within your body, to help you unlock the places you are stuck, at your own pace. She is mindful, passionate and intuitive about her work, and a treatment from her is always special, entirely bespoke, and something to be treasured."- Lucy from sidcup
"Jackie is knowledgeable, professional and kind. I initially went to see her for some Myofascial release but over time Jackie has been able to apply different techniques from her continued professional development to support me with severe muscle tightness and an ongoing back issue. Jackie is exceptional in what she does and is a font of knowledge on her subject."- Carolyne from Sidcup
